What we do

Our Programs

Connect to Classrooms works in local school districts and in the community to provide programs and services that inspire student success.  Our current programs include:

Dinosaur Classroom
Under a grant from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, Connect to Classrooms is offering The Incredible Years Dinosaur Classroom program for pre-school, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades in select classrooms in the Connellsville Area School District, Albert Gallatin Area School District, Brownsville Area School District, St. John's the Evangelist, and Head Start/Early Head Start of Fayette County Classrooms.  This evidence based program uses puppets to help students develop the social skills they need to succeed in the classrooms and build friendships and positive interactions with other students.  The program has been shown to reduce antisocial behavior and improve social skills in participating students.

Middle School Truancy Program
In partnership with Fayette County Children and Youth Services, Connect to Classrooms is now offering services for middle school students and their families from Fayette County middle schools who are struggling with school attendance.  If you have a student at one of these middle schools or would like to make a referral, please contact Nicole Reams, MSW, Truancy Program Coordinator at (724) 437-2540 or nreams@connecttoclassrooms.org

Academic Tutoring Services
Connect to Classrooms partners with the Albert Gallatin Area School District to provide tutors at the District's Elementary and High Schools. Interested parents and students should contact the school directly for more information.
